This is the distributor vacuum capsule for V8 petrol engines, made by Allmakes 4x4. It acts on the ignition advance using engine vacuum and is usually replaced when its diaphragm is split or it no longer holds vacuum.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender 3.5 V8, Discovery 1 3.5 V8 and Range Rover Classic V8.
