This is a PCV vacuum control valve from the Allmakes 4x4 brand.
It regulates the crankcase ventilation by controlling the vacuum applied to it, and is usually replaced when it sticks or splits, causing oil leaks, oil in the intake or irregular running.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender and Discovery 2 TD5, and Freelander 1.
