This is a reconditioned MT82 manual gearbox from the Ashcroft brand.
It transmits engine power through the gear ratios to the transfer box, and is usually fitted when the original gearbox is noisy, jumps out of gear, has worn synchros or has failed.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender Puma (2.2 and 2.4 TD4).
