This is an oil-filled rear shock absorber from the Raptor 4x4 brand.
It damps the movement of the rear suspension to keep the tyres in contact with the ground, and is usually replaced when it leaks oil, the vehicle bounces excessively or handling becomes unstable.
Compatible with Land Rover Series III/Santana.
