Wheel spacers are aluminum discs that are inserted or screwed into the wheel hub. This makes possible to reduce the thread depth (ET) of the rim. After mounting, the position of the rim is moved a little further to the outside of the wheel casing and therefore very close to the fender. The optical advantage lies, above all, in a much fuller wheel arch, with consequent robustness. Wheel spacers are a cheap option to make the vehicle look more sporty.
