This is the ignition distributor, made by Allmakes 4x4. It sends the high-tension current from the coil to each spark plug in the correct firing order. It is usually replaced when its shaft or bushes are worn, it is damaged, or it causes misfiring and poor running.
Compatible with Land Rover Series II and Series III (Santana) 2.25 petrol.
