This is a V8 distributor cap from the Eurospare brand.
It distributes the high voltage from the coil to each spark plug lead, and is usually replaced when it is cracked, the contacts are worn or there is misfiring or poor starting.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1, Range Rover Classic and Series III (Santana) with V8 petrol engine.
