This is a cylinder head gasket for 4-cylinder diesel engines, from the Elring brand.
It seals the joint between the cylinder head and the block, and is usually replaced when it fails, causing coolant loss or overheating, or whenever the head is removed.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender 2.5 diesel and 2.5 turbo diesel, Series III (Santana) 2.25 and 2.5 diesel.
