This is an R380 gearbox with short bellhousing, intended as a conversion from the LT77, from the Ashcroft brand.
It allows a worn or damaged LT77 gearbox to be swapped for an R380 unit, and it is usually fitted when the original box is noisy, jumps out of gear or needs a full rebuild.
Compatible with Land Rover Defender 2.5 diesel, 2.5 petrol and 200 TDI.
