This is the brake vacuum pump, made by Allmakes 4x4. It creates the vacuum needed by the brake servo to assist the brake pedal. It is usually replaced when it leaks oil, is noisy or no longer creates enough vacuum, making the brake pedal hard.
Compatible with Land Rover Discovery 4 and 5, Defender 2020, Range Rover L405, Sport L494 and Velar V6/V8 petrol.
